Some photos from last night’s ORoyals win

Sure, the Omaha Royals are in last place, but it’s not nearly as hopeless a position as their big-league counterparts. After last night’s win, Omaha is 4.5 games out of first.

Here are a couple of photos from the game. To see more, start at #76 in this Facebook album.

Anthony Lerew hydrating before his start.

That's quite the pitcherface on what I assume is a changeup.

Mike Moustakas tosses a foul ball to a fan.

Lucas May hit one of the longest home runs I've ever seen. We think it cleared the scoreboard. Holy crap.

Jordan Parraz sez: Hydration is important.

This is Edgar Osuna. He found the camera!

Mike Jirschele arguing a crazy runner interference call. I thiiiink the umps were right, though.

It was a rather ugly game, but a win all the same. Lerew got blown up, giving up five runs, eight hits and six walks in 5.2 innings. All of that took him 119 pitches. Omaha benefitted from a blown call at first, in which Mike Moustakas was ruled safe, and a run scored. But hey, we’ll take it.

Tonight is Thirsty Thursday, where beers are $1 and there are a lot of them. Game time is 7:05.
