UPDATE: Parraz was, in fact, promoted today. Also, Stephen Randolph was released.
The Royals have apparently promoted outfielder Jordan Parraz to Omaha from Northwest Arkansas, in order to fill the void left when Mitch Maier was recalled to the Majors.. Much like the Stephen Randolph thing from earlier, this hasn’t been confirmed online yet, and it’s 2 in the morning so I’m not going to make a phone call to confirm what I’ve heard.
That said, if it’s true…you heard it here first.
Through 64 games in AA, Parraz’s line is .358/.451/.553. He’s striking out much less in AA than he did at any other level, and walking at roughly the same rate he has before.

Wow! That sure is exciting news!!!! Now the only thing left to pray for is that the KC Royals cease operations in MLB or become reclassified as a AAA team.
I’m sick of hearing Royals fans talk about 1985. Pretty sad when that’s all you have to bragg about. Hey, guess what??? Next year is the 25th anniversary of 1985! Maybe they can have a parade through downtown KC (dodging bullets from gunfire of course) and George Brett can be the Grand Marshal! I cannot wait. Better book airline tickets now. Does TWA still fly in to the municipal airport? Oh wait, that was 1985…………
