Immediate Dissent: the Game 1 edition

A chimpanzee would have known better than to pitch Kyle Farnsworth today instead of Ron Mahay (who was already warmed up) or Juan Cruz (who can actually pitch).

But if a chimpanzee made a huge mistake and put Farnsworth in the game in the first place, it would be smart enough to take him out when Jim Thome comes up with runners on in a one-run game.

Trey Hillman is not a chimpanzee. We should only be so lucky.

Gil Meche was once again awesome, per Opening Day tradition, but his efforts were wasted because Trey Hillman wanted to show off his new overpriced, flame-decal’d toy.

Happy freaking opening day, Royals fans.

Bummer all the way around. I don’t know if I should get super mad at Trey Hillman right now, or if I should just hold it in and hope it doesn’t happen again. Everyone seems to think it’ll happen again… but i sure hope not.
